Tom Herman: Ndamukong Suh Should've Won The Heisman

The former Nebraska star should've won it, Herman says.

A tweet from Football University was making the rounds on college football Twitter this month. The tweet was asking people to name the five best college football players you've ever seen, not taking into account what they did in the pros.

Former Nebraska star defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh was a popular answer.

Suh, now a defensive lineman for the Miami Dolphins, absolutely dominated the 2009 season. He had one of the best games of all-time by a defensive player in that season's Big 12 Championship Game. Colt McCoy is probably still having nightmares about him.

He didn't win the Heisman Trophy, though. Alabama running back Mark Ingram did. Suh finished in fourth.

Tom Herman thinks he should've won it. He made a passionate remark about Suh at Big 12 Media Days today.

Herman is right. Suh was the best player in college football that season.
