Nebraska's Tommy Armstrong Jr. Suffers Scary Injury vs. Ohio State

Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. suffered an apparent injury against Ohio State on Saturday night.

Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr., one of the best signal-callers in the Big Ten, suffered what appears to be a very serious injury in the second quarter of his team's contest against Ohio State on Saturday night. Armstrong, while rushing for an 11-yard gain, landed awkwardly out of bounds. His head snapped back a bit, and he immediately laid motionless.

Here's video. While it doesn't look that bad, you can tell immediately that it's serious.

Armstrong needed to have his jersey and pads cut off of him. He was carted off the field and transported to a local hospital.

As Armstrong left the field, he was able to give a thumbs up to the crowd.

Obviously, we've got a scary scene in Columbus right now. Let's hope the injury isn't as serious as it looks.

Update: ESPN is reporting that Armstrong was briefly unconscious, but at this point, he's able to move all of his extremities. Great news.

More as we learn it.
