4-Star RB Toneil Carter Commits To Texas Hours After Decommitting From Georgia

Four-star running back Toneil Carter has reportedly committed to Texas.

Monday morning, four-star running back Toneil Carter announced his decommitment from Georgia, noting that the return of both Nick Chubb and Sony Michel essentially blocked him from enrolling early with the Bulldogs. It didn't take long for him to decide his next move. Carter, according to 247 Sports, is headed to Texas to play for new head coach Tom Herman.

Carter, who had offers from 18 schools, is a four-star player ranked as the 21st-best player in the state of Texas. He stands at 5-foot-10, 197 pounds.

Update: It's official:

Carter is the ninth commit for Texas for its 2017 class.
