Four-star running back Toneil Carter was forced to decommit from Georgia on Monday.
Toneil Carter, a four-star running back from Houston, Texas who was committed to play for Georgia in 2017, has made the decision to re-open his recruitment. The reason? Because Georgia running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel are returning for their senior seasons, Georgia cannot allow Carter to be an early enrollee. Carter announced the news on Twitter on Monday.
Carter has a total of 18 offers - Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Boston College, Colorado, Kansas State, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
Carter has not offered any kind of insight regarding where he's looking now. Carter, a 5-foot-10, 197-pound tailback, is ranked as the 21st-best player in the state of Texas.
