In less than 24 hours the Early Signing Period for college football is set to open. A few of the nation's top recruits will announce where they plan to attend college, and sign early.

The signing period begins Wednesday and ends Friday. Several top recruits are expected to announce their commitments during that time.

Meanwhile, a few recruits already committed to programs will have the chance to make their commitments official. However, just because a recruit is committed somewhere doesn't mean other programs aren't hoping to get into the picture.

According to Radi Nabulsi of Rivals, Georgia is hoping to make a late charge for Ohio State commit Doug Nester.

Nester is the No. 5 offensive guard in the country and the No. 92 recruit overall, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. The star offensive lineman committed to the Buckeyes over a year ago, though Georgia and Penn State are still in the picture.

Stay tuned.
