According to a recent report, Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson have been given permission by the university to transfer amid the school's bowl ban for the upcoming season.
Patterson will have to sit out for a year due to NCAA rules if he transfers. Should Patterson transfer, he has a list of restrictions, including every SEC school and Ole Miss' nonconference opponents for the next two years.

- Texas Tech
- Southern Illinois
- Kent State
- Southeastern Louisiana
- New Mexico State
There have been whispers of Patterson transferring to either Michigan or USC, which are both still in play should he decide to leave Ole Miss.
Patterson is a former 5-star recruit who was the No. 1 quarterback recruit from the 2016 class.
