Tua Tagovailoa has been nothing short of dominant in his second full season as Alabama's starting quarterback. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury against Tennessee on Saturday night that could force him to miss some time.

With Alabama leading Tennessee 21-10 in the second quarter, Tagovailoa was tackled and landed awkwardly on his ankle. He was able to walk off the field, but immediately headed to the injury tent.

Tagovailoa is now headed to the locker room for further evaluation. It's unclear if he'll be able to return to the contest.

Video replay of the injury shows Tagovailoa's ankle twist as he falls to the ground.

Tagovailoa was having a great game against the Vols - he's 11-of-12 for 153 yards with an interception. More importantly, he had his team with a comfortable lead.

Alabama now turns to backup Mac Jones. Jones is a sophomore who has seen limited action with the Crimson Tide.

We'll keep you updated on Tagovailoa's injury. Alabama fans are holding their breath.
