A major college football program is trending for the younger brother of an NFL player. According to the latest update from 247Sports, UCLA is the leader in the clubhouse to land a commitment from Charles Njoku, the younger brother of Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku.
The three-star wideout from New Jersey was committed to the Missouri Tigers before he eventually decided against heading to the SEC. Now, the Bruins are in a tough fight with the Nebraska Cornhuskers to land the services of the younger Njoku.
Charles is set to announce his commitment on Friday afternoon and the Bruins are trending in the right direction, but Scott Frost and company are right on Chip Kelly's heels.
According to 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions, UCLA is in the lead with 50-percent of predictions, while Nebraska is a close second with 38-percent of predictions.
Miami is also in the mix, though the Hurricanes remain a longshot to land the three-star wideout despite his brother's connections to the program.
We'll have to wait and see where Njoku commits, but he's been one of the fastest-rising recruits in the country over the past few months. In November he was the No. 75 wide receiver recruit in the country, but now sits at No. 51.
