UConn coach Kevin Ollie may have signed a five-year contract extension with the school back in May of 2014, but that hasn't stopped reporters from speculating that he might leave for the NBA someday soon. Earlier this week, SNY's Adam Zagoria reported that Ollie, who once played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, was being "seriously considered" for the job, should current head coach Scott Brooks get the boot. Wednesday, Ollie issued a statement on the matter.
Ollie has "no plans" of pursuing other opportunities, according to the school's release. He added that he's "proud and honored" to be the coach at UConn.
Ollie led the school to its fourth national title back in 2014. In his three years, he's compiled a 72-33 record.
