North Carolina and NC State got into a benches-clearing brawl on Friday after an altercation during a fumble recovery.

UNC and NC State are kicking off rivalry week in appropriate fashion. With the Wolfpack leading the Tar Heels 21-7 in the second quarter of their in-state affair, Ryan Finley found Matthew Dayes across the middle for what looked looked like a short gain - until he coughed up the ball. After a wild scrum for the ball, players on both teams got into it around midfield. The benches briefly cleared and one player - UNC's Jalen Dalton - was ejected for throwing a punch.

The best part? The play was reviewed and the ruling was changed to an incomplete pass.

Will this help UNC put together a comeback? We'll find out.
