Urban Meyer Comments On Torrance Gibson's Future

The Torrance Gibson saga at Ohio State doesn't appear to be over.

Torrance Gibson, Ohio State's suspended wide receiver, signed with a Mississippi junior college earlier this week.

This doesn't mean Gibson will be playing for said JUCO next year, though. Gibson's girlfriend said on Twitter that he won't be playing there, and despite the school confirming his commitment, the signing isn't binding. Gibson could still play for Ohio State or another FBS team next year.

Urban Meyer, who said at the time of the university suspension that he disagreed with it, commented today on Gibson's future.

Gibson, who came to Ohio State as one of the top quarterback recruits in the country, made the switch to wide receiver with the Buckeyes. Many were optimistic about his 2016 season at wideout prior to getting suspended.

Getting Gibson back in play for 2017 could be major for an Ohio State wide receivers' unit that often struggled to make big plays this fall.
