Could we see Urban Meyer return to FOX Sports for the 2022 college football season? It certainly sounds like it's a possibility.

Lettermen Row reporter Austin Ward recently said that he believes Meyer will return to FOX this fall.

"I do think Urban [Meyer] will be back in college football, at least as an analyst sometime soon,” Ward said. “I think he’ll be returning to FOX. I can’t say that it’s done. I think it’s gonna happen again and I don’t think he ever should have left in the first place. He was good and I think they miss that."

Although nothing is official at this time, Meyer would be a draw for FOX. That doesn't necessarily mean the sports world is on board with this potential move.

In fact, several people are wondering if Meyer would be a good addition to FOX's college football coverage after having a disastrous stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"Anything to try to compete with GameDay..," a college football fan said.

The official Twitter account for the college football Reddit page had the following reaction to the Meyer news: "Can Urban handle the grind of going back to a regular studio job? Will he dance around the issue if someone brings up his stint with the Jags?"

"This is obviously a rhetorical question, but good lord: Is there any sense of shame here if this happens? Stop giving him a platform. It’s beyond ridiculous," Tyler Greever of WHAS11 News tweeted.

For now, there's just a lot of speculation surrounding Meyer's future.
