Urban Meyer hasn't spoken to the public since Ohio State's press conference on Wednesday night, but what his daughters are putting out on social media is speaking volumes about how the Meyer family feels in the aftermath of the school's investigation into how he handled domestic violence allegations against former wide receivers coach Zach Smith.
Thursday night, both Nicki Meyer Dennis and Gigi Meyer took to Instagram to post stories related to the investigation. Both included screenshots of a statement provided by Gene Smith's lawyer Rex Elliott.
Gigi Meyer included a bit about her father - saying he's "one of the most selfless beings to ever exist."
Nicki Meyer Dennis went a few steps further, posting a screenshot of a troll she's been dealing with on social media. She encourages her followers to "say the things" she wants to say to him but can't.
She also then asked her followers to "read carefully" what she subsequently posts - which is the Elliott statement. Here are the screenshots:
Meyer will serve a three-game suspension to start the 2018 season - and he'll miss games against Oregon State, Rutgers and TCU. If the Buckeyes can go 3-0 in those games, they're going to be a national title contender this season.
