It's been a long day for Urban Meyer, Ohio State and the rest of the college football world. Here is the latest on everything that's going on with the Buckeyes and their impending decision on the head coach.

The meeting, as said several times, began at 9 a.m. E.T. The Board of Trustees meeting is open to the public, but it quickly broke off into a private, executive session.

Urban Meyer showed up to the building shortly after 9. His wife, Shelley Meyer, joined him inside the building after 2 p.m. E.T.

According to reports, Meyer is not inside the room with the Board of Trustees and Ohio State's president, Michael Drake.

There have been few updates throughout the day. The latest is this: Ohio State's athletic director, Gene Smith, and his wife arrived a couple of hours ago.

We're now going on 9 hours since the meeting began. Reporters and fans have been outside the building, Ohio State's alumni center, all day. There was this report from Ohio State insider Dave Biddle: "Ohio State's BoT wants to reinstate Urban Meyer immediately. University president Michael Drake is balking at that; wants Meyer to serve a suspension. Meyer refuses to serve suspension since he thinks he did nothing wrong," he tweeted.

That, of course, has yet to be confirmed. The Board of Trustees, the school's president and Meyer have been inside all day. Nothing official has been said.

Stay tuned.
