Urban Meyer remains under investigation by Ohio State University following the domestic violence allegations that surfaced against now-fired assistant coach Zach Smith. At this point, it’s unclear what the investigation is going to find.
Ohio State announced on Sunday night that the investigation was underway. It’s expected to take roughly two weeks.
Almost no information regarding the investigation and what it’s going to find has leaked – yet.
One Ohio State insider, though, says everyone is going to be “shocked.”
Jeff Snook, an author who’s written multiple books on Ohio State’s football program, said on Facebook that he’s talked to people within the Buckeyes’ program.
“There is so much more to this story, so much that I think the public will be shocked when it is all revealed,” Snook wrote.
Snook also said he would not be surprised to see Urban Meyer on the sideline Week 1 vs. Oregon State.
“And the bottom line is this: Don’t be surprised if Urban Meyer is on the sidelines September 1 in the opener against Oregon State.”

Urban Meyer was placed on paid administrative leave by Ohio State last Wednesday night. He released a statement on Friday, admitting to mishandling Big Ten Media Days but claiming that he properly reported any allegations against Smith. Meyer also said that he eagerly looks forward to returning to the team.
