Urban Meyer: Linebacker Jason Cabinda Is The Penn State Player The Buckeyes Have To Be Aware Of

The linebacker is the defender the Buckeyes have to be aware of.

Penn State's star running back, Saquon Barkley, is rightly the player most Ohio State fans are worried about this week. He's the Heisman Trophy favorite, after all.

The Buckeyes' team, though, might actually be more concerned about the other side of the ball.

Penn State's defense is the No. 1 scoring defense in college football this season. If the Buckeyes can have consistent success against the Nittany Lions' defense, they'll come away with the win.

Urban Meyer said today that the one player who jumps off the page for PSU's defense is linebacker Jason Cabinda.

Cabinda, a senior linebacker, was the Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week in early October after he had 14 tackles in the win over Indiana. He was a third-team All-Big Ten performer in 2016.

Ohio State and Penn State are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. E.T. on FOX.
