Urban Meyer’s Daughters Respond To His Newest Statement

Urban Meyer issued a statement Friday morning hoping to set the record straight as to why he was suspended for the first three games of the 2018 college football season. Ohio State announced Meyer's suspension following an investigation into his handling of assault allegations against former wide receivers coach Zach Smith.

In Meyer's statement Friday, he clarified that he was not suspended as a result of condoning or knowing about Zach Smith's alleged domestic violence. Meyer continued in his statement, clarifying Ohio State's initial statement announcing Meyer's suspension.

Clearly Meyer is upset with the way the investigation's results have played out in the media. So too are his daughters.

Both Nicki and Gigi took to Twitter to support their dad. Here's what they had to say.

Ohio State opens its season against Oregon State on Saturday afternoon. Meyer will miss the first three games of the season against Oregon State, Rutgers and TCU.
