After months of waiting, college football is finally back. The first game on the schedule to kick off the season is a marquee showdown between No. 8 Florida and Miami.

Florida enters this matchup as the favorites, but Miami can't be dismissed. With Manny Diaz as the head coach, the defense should be exceptional this year.

The deciding factor in this game will most likely be which quarterback rises to the challenge. Feleipe Franks has more experience under his belt, but redshirt Jarren Williams is loaded with potential.

Miami announced earlier in the month that Williams won the starting quarterback over N'Kosi Perry and Tate Martell. He'll have the chance to validate the coaching staff's decision today.

Although the Hurricanes seem poised for a bounce-back season under Diaz, Odds Shark's computer prediction has the Gators winning tonight by roughly two points.

Here is the exact score prediction for the Miami-Florida game:

This is the first meeting between these two programs since 2013, when the Hurricanes prevailed over the Gators.

It'll be a tough test for both sides as they try to start the season on the right foot.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET from Camping World Stadium, as ESPN will broadcast all the action.
