We've already seen the AP and Coaches polls released for this week. Now, there's a new set of rankings for fans to pore over.

Earlier today, Phil Steele released his Vegas power ratings on ESPN. They are a little different than your typical rankings.

Steele combines his power ratings with the ratings from the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook, Will Harris of ESPN and Bruce Marshall of the Gold Sheet. The resulting rankings are the final product.

“These ratings are less about a team’s record and more about the overall talent that each team possesses, reflecting which team would be favored if meeting at a neutral site,” Steele says.

Here’s the current top 10 according to Steele’s formula:

  1. Alabama
  2. Georgia
  3. Ohio State
  4. Clemson
  5. Oklahoma
  6. Washington
  7. Auburn
  8. Mississippi State
  9. Penn State
  10. Stanford

As you can see, Steele's rankings differ from the usual polls. Ohio State at No. 3 with Washington all the way at No. 6 and no LSU in the top 10 is pretty noteworthy.
