Watch: Here's Verne Lundquist's Emotional Farewell From CBS College Football

Verne Lundquist called his last college football game on Saturday.

Verne Lundquist spent the last 17 years in CBS' College Football booth, calling mostly SEC games and of course the Army-Navy game as he did on Saturday. Today he signed off a CBS college football broadcast for the very last time.

The legend signed off in perfect fashion:

Lundquist will be missed by everyone on Saturdays. We'll still hear his voice during college basketball's March Madness and there are plenty more iconic calls at The Masters ahead, but he will be missed during college football season.

Saturdays at 3:30 p.m. EST during college football season won't be the same for SEC fans.

The 76-year-old ends his farewell speech with a simple thank you, but we're the ones that need to be saying that to him.
