A disgraceful cheap shot on the quarterback took place in the third quarter of Tuesday night’s game between Toledo and Northern Illinois.
Toledo defensive lineman Terrance Taylor was ejected from the game for a late hit on Northern Illinois quarterback Ross Bowers.
Bowers, a senior quarterback, was clearly down on two knees before getting crushed by Taylor.

Oh no, that's an awful hit by Terrance Taylor after Ross Bowers slipped and ended up defenseless.
This hit was NOT called initally, and is now under review. It was called a regular personal foul on the field. pic.twitter.com/S4n9IUcgLF

There’s just no place in the game for that kind of hit.
Northern Illinois is leading Toledo, 21-7, midway through the third quarter.
The game is on ESPN2.
