At most sportsbooks, you'll find Texas with the fourth or fifth best odds to win the Big 12, a fair amount behind favorite Oklahoma. Bovadahas the Longhorns at +750, just ahead of a Baylor program that no one knows how to judge (+800), and behind the Sooners (-140), Oklahoma State (+500), and TCU (+500).
At least one notable talking head believes in Charlie Strong's program, however. ESPN's Tom Luginbill chose Texas to win the league this upcoming season.

At least he acknowledges that he's going out on a limb with the pick. Last year, Luginbill chose the Sooners to win the league, coming off of a fairly mediocre 2014 season. He may have been better off rolling with the Sooners again, but we'll find out come November.
