Jake Butt's return from ACL surgery took the next step today.
Former Michigan star Jake Butt took the practice field on Saturday. He might not be able to do much at this point, but the tight end is on the road to recovery. The fifth-round selection of the Denver Broncos took the field with TE coach Geep Chryst.
Here's video of the workout.
Butt also spoke with the media after practice.
After tearing his ACL in his final collegiate game, Butt slipped in the draft but still came away with a four-year, $2.7 million contract with the Broncos.
His recovery is still in process, but he hopes to be medically cleared to play by August.
