Michigan State's fans have been treated to an ugly contest in East Lansing this evening - both literally and figuratively. The Spartans are getting crushed by Penn State while the fans sit in the stands on a cold, rainy day.

A lot of fans appeared to have enough of the game at halftime.

Second half photos show much of Spartan Stadium - especially the student section - emptying out.

It's hard to blame them after that first half. Penn State leads, 21-0.

Two fans appear to be sticking it out, rain or shine. Big Ten Network tweeted out this video of two fans fighting the rain as they sit in the stands, surrounded by no one.

Hopefully the Spartans can give them something to cheer about in the second half.

Michigan State and Penn State are playing on ABC.
