The former star ACC quarterback has officially been waived by the Eagles.

Jerod Evans has officially been waived by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The former star Virginia Tech quarterback, who left the Hokies with eligibility remaining, went unselected in the 2017 NFL Draft.

He was picked up by the Eagles as an undrafted free agent, but has a foot injury.

Philadelphia officially announced the move today.

Evans had expressed excitement about his opportunity with Philly.

The 6-foot-4 quarterback threw for 3,552 yards and 29 touchdowns as a junior in 2016.
