Walter Football Has Shea Patterson Going No. 1 Overall In 2019

ESPN NFL draft analysts.

The Michigan quarterback is projected to go No. 1 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Shea Patterson has yet to play a down of football for Michigan, but Wolverines fans might want to get used to the idea that the five-star QB won't be around for very long.

The former Ole Miss quarterback, a rising junior, has two seasons of eligibility left (and it's assumed that he'll be eligible for the 2018 season) but some don't think he'll use both of them.

Walter Football has published its 2019 mock draft and they have Patterson going very high - as high as possible, actually.

  1. Baltimore Ravens - Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson

If the Ravens do end up with the top selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, it's likely that Joe Flacco has continued to regress, so he'll need need to be replaced.

Shea Patterson completed 64 percent of his passes during the 2017 campaign. League contacts have told Charlie Campbell that Patterson compares favorably to Johnny Manziel, but without all of the off-the-field concerns. I think Patterson will have a realistic shot of being the top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft if Jim Harbaugh is able to coach him up.
