Western Kentucky broke out all the trick plays in the Boca Raton Bowl last night.
In the Hilltoppers' 51-31 win over Memphis, the team executed a toss-back screen pass to an offensive tackle for a touchdown, and it might not have even been their best gadget call.
That honor could go this fake kneel down play at the end of the first half. In it, WKU "hid" 5-foot-10, 190-pound Anthony Wales, who took the snap and darted for 53 yards.
Sure, WKU didn't end up scoring on this drive, but still, this was an awesome call.
One of the major pluses of bowl season? Seeing teams lay it all on the line and open up the playbook like this.
