Who Nick Saban Thinks Will Be Ranked No. 1 In The Country

Here's who the Alabama head coach thinks will be ranked No. 1 in the preseason.

Nick Saban thinks the Alabama-Florida State Week 1 showdown will feature the No. 1 team in college football.

It won't be his team, though.

The Crimson Tide's head coach said today that he believes the Seminoles will probably be college football's No. 1 team heading into the 2017 season.

"Florida State has a great team and a great program - probably be No. 1 in the country," Saban said at the SEC Meetings today.

FSU is considered by some outlets to be a potential preseason No. 1, but Alabama is getting a lot of love in that spot, too. So is Ohio State.

ESPN's Football Power Index, for what it's worth, has Alabama at No. 2 and Florida State and No. 4.

The Alabama-FSU game is set to kick off at 8 p.m. E.T. on ABC Sept. 2. ESPN's College GameDay will be on-site in Atlanta.
