Why FOX Is Televising This Year’s Ohio State-Michigan Game

FOX is hosting several marquee college football games this season.

The Ohio State-Michigan game will be making history this season.

For the first time in the history of The Game, it will be televised on FOX.

FOX revealed on Monday that it will be televising the contest between the Buckeyes and the Wolverines in Ann Arbor in late November, along with several other marquee contests.

This is happening because of what occurred last summer.

FOX paid roughly $240 million last June for the majority ownership of the Big Ten’s TV rights, so they have first dibs on marquee games over ESPN, which paid about $190 million for minority rights.

Other big-time games between Big Ten teams on FOX this year will include Ohio State vs. Penn State and Michigan State vs. Notre Dame.

FOX will also be televising Oklahoma at Oklahoma State and Texas at USC.
