A top safety on one of the top high schools in Texas, Xavion Alford has garnered offers from just about every top program in the country. With a Class of 2020 decision looming, Alford has narrowed down his list to ten schools.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Alford revealed his list. The list is a regular who’s-who of Power Five schools.
Alford’s list is headlined by six SEC giants: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M and LSU. Also on the list are Michigan, Oregon, Texas, and TCU.
247Sports rates Alford as the No. 182 overall prospect in the country. He is considered the No. 15 safety in the country, and the No. 26 prospect from the state of Texas.

247Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions currently give the decisive edge to LSU though. All eight early predictions have him as a Tiger.
LSU is one of three schools that Alford has made an unofficial visit to so far, the others being Alabama and Texas A&M.
It’s hard to deny that LSU would be a great fit for Alford. The school has earned the moniker “Defensive Back U” for the many elite safeties and cornerbacks that have thrived in college en route to stellar NFL careers.
In 2018, Alford recorded 61 tackles, two tackles for loss, 20 passes defended, six interceptions, and one pick-six.
