We've had some awesome bowl games tonight, but none had a finish anything close to how Youngstown State won tonight's FCS semifinal against Eastern Washington.
With six seconds remaining, and the Youngstown State Penguins down 38-34 to the Eastern Washington Eagles, quarterback Hunter Wells found tight end Kevin Rader for a game-winning touchdown. Rader, amazingly, catches the ball off of the back of EWU linebacker Ketner Kupp.
Youngstown State great Ron Jaworski calls it the greatest catch in FCS history. I'm admittedly not well-versed enough to back him up on that, but it certainly has to be on the shortlist in Penguins program history.
The three-seed Penguins face the four-seed James Madison Dukes, who pulled a massive upset of FCS powerhouse North Dakota State on Friday night. Bo Pelini has done a pretty impressive job in elevating YSU after his tumultuous ouster from Nebraska.
