The No. 1 point guard in the 2019 class announced his commitment earlier this year. He's headed to a major program.
Ashton Hagans, a five-star point guard out of Georgia, announced on Twitter he's headed to Kentucky. The Wildcats might have gotten even better news today.
According to multiple reports, Hagans will reclassify and be eligible to play for John Calipari in 2018.
Here's the full announcement.
Hagans is the No. 8 overall recruit in the 2019 class, per 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He's the No. 1 point guard recruit.
The Wildcats scored the second-best recruiting class in 2018 after hauling in three five-star recruits and a four-star recruit.
It's a huge announcement for Kentucky moving forward.
