2020 4-Star QB Drew Pyne Announces Notre Dame Commitment

Notre Dame has landed a number of elite quarterbacks in recent classes, including current starter Brandon Wimbush in 2015 and highly-touted incoming freshman Phil Jurkovec.

Today, the Irish picked up a commitment from one of the top 2020 signal callers in the country. Four-star Drew Pyne announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Twitter.

Pyne is the first commitment for Notre Dame in the 2020 cycle. His commitment comes on the heels of a visit to campus last week.

Pyne holds two dozen scholarship offers, so the Irish getting him in the fold early is a sizable coup.

Former Notre Dame star quarterback Brady Quinn welcomed Pyne to the Irish family.

Happy to hear @dpyne10 committing to @NDFootball!!! Life changing decision! I hope you enjoy your experience as much as I did. #10 #4for40 #GoIrish #NDFamily

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Pyne is the No. 7 Pro-Style quarterback in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports’ National Rankings.
