In May, four-star small forward Elias King verbally committed to Xavier. Today, he reopened his recruitment.

King, who plays for Snellville (Ga.) Lincoln Academy, announced his decommitment on Twitter this morning. He released a statement on the matter.

"Due to family reasons I am decommiting from Xavier," King tweeted. "I would like to thank Coach Steele and the university for recruiting me. I will give NO interviews by phone or social media."

Xavier was the second program King was committed to. He originally committed to Georgia in December 2017 before decommitting in March.

King is the No. 6 player in Georgia and the 31st-ranked small forward in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

Overall, he is the 124th-rated player in the 2019 cycle.
