4-Star SG M.J. Walker Announces FSU Commitment

The No. 4 shooting guard in the country is finally off the board.

Lithia Springs (Ga.) Jonesboro four-star shooting guard M.J. Walker committed to Florida State moments ago during an announcement ceremony.

Walker is the No. 26 overall player in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

Heading into this announcement, Walker's recruitment was considered very up-in-the-air. Virginia Tech was the perceived favorite for a while, but UCLA began trending among experts during the last few days.

There were some rumors this morning that Ohio State was going to land him, but in the end, Florida State was the last school standing.

FSU head coach Leonard Hamilton sure can recruit. He has a top-25 class coming in right now, and he'll need them to produce.

After all Florida State is losing Dwayne Bacon, Xavier Rathan-Mayes and Jonathan Isaac to the draft.
