The top recruit is considering some surprising schools.

Anfernee Simons, a five-star guard, is one of the top recruits in the 2018 class. He was committed to play at Louisville.

The talented guard backed out of his pledge to the Cardinals following their Rick Pitino/NCAA scandal, though. He's since re-opened his recruitment.

Simons, a top 10 recruit in the country, is reportedly considering an attempt to enter the 2018 NBA Draft. However, college remains the likely option.

The talented combo guard is considering some surprising schools. He spoke to 247Sports' Evan Daniels recently about his decision.

Simons has visited NC State and Tennessee. He also says he's considering Minnesota, Florida, SMU and Dayton.

It's unclear at this point which school might be the favorite. The No. 1 combo guard is keeping things pretty close to the vest.

Florida and Tennessee currently have the most "Crystal Ball" projections on 247Sports. Twelve percent of the predictions are "cloudy."

Simons is the No. 7 overall recruit in the 2018 class. He has offers from nearly every school in the country. You can read his full interview with 247Sports here.
