5-star power forward Billy Preston has announced his commitment to Kansas.

Billy Preston, a 6-foot-10 power forward from Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, announced his commitment to Kansas live Friday afternoon on ESPNU.

Preston also partnered with Bleacher Report to release a commitment video in which he battles his demons.

According to 247Sports, Preston is the No. 12 overall prospect in the Class of 2017, and the No. 5 power forward. The 19-year-old also had offers from Indiana, Syracuse, USC and Arizona.

According to Jayhawks beat writer Matt Trait, Preston cited his relationship with Kansas Jayhawks head coach Bill Self as the primary motivator for him to pick the Jayhawks. When asked who he compares his game to, Preston didn't pull any punches and went right for the top.

"LeBron. LeBron James."

Kansas started off the season with a hard fought loss to No. 11 Indiana, but then bounced back against No. 1 Duke with a 77-75 victory. Kansas faces the Siena Saints Friday night and tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. E.T.
