5-Star PF Mohamed Bamba To Announce Commitment Before NBA Draft

The No. 2 player in the country is in no hurry to make a commitment.

Mohamed Bamba is one of the best players in the class of 2017, and the 6-foot-11 power forward is down to four schools in his recruitment. Bamba, a five-star recruit sat down with Krysten Peek, of Rivals, at the Ball is Life All-American Game to talk about his recruitment.

The top four schools in contention to land the elite recruit are Duke, Kentucky, Michigan, and Texas. So when will Bamba announce his commitment to one of these programs?

Well, when asked if he will make his decision before the NBA Draft, Bamba laughed and said "that is way too long." So it looks like Bamba will make his decision well before the draft, which takes place on June 22.

As for the top college players on each team deciding to enter the NBA or return to school, Bamba had the following to say:

“I don’t really get caught up in who’s coming back and who’s leaving," Bamba said. "I really feel like if I’m one of those guys who can adapt to other people’s game and play with them. Having those guys come back another year would only help, it would make the team better.”

Bamba is the No. 2 recruit in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports.
