5-Star Recruit Brian Bowen Makes Final NBA Draft Decision

Five-star Brian Bowen did not play college basketball this season. Now, he will have to put his NBA dreams on hold.

Bowen, who left Louisville due to his potential connection to the NCAA pay-for-play scandal and later enrolled at South Carolina, officially withdrew from the NBA Draft today, according to multiple outlets.

He had until 5 p.m. ET to make his decision final.

Sports Illustrated's Jeremy Woo was the first to report the news on Bowen, with SNY.tv's Adam Zagoria confirming the latest with South Carolina head coach Frank Martin.

Bowen was declared ineligible by the NCAA in late May. Because of that, he won't be able to play at South Carolina next season.

The G League or playing overseas seem to be his most logical options. TheState.com has a nice breakdown of what might be next for Bowen.

A five-star small forward out of La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere School, Bowen was the No. 19 recruit in the 2017 class according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
