One of the top recruits in the 2020 recruiting class is reportedly considering going through the reclassification process to enter the 2019 class.
According to a report from college basketball insider Evan Daniels, five-star small forward Johnny Juzang is considering reclassifying to the 2019 class.
Daniels also reported the five-star recruit plans to take a visit to one of the college basketball programs he’s considering. If all goes well, Juzang could decide to reclassify to the 2019 class and enroll at his new school.
Here’s more from the report:
Juzang had an in-home visit with Kentucky’s John Calipari this past Friday. The Wildcats offered during the visit. Now Juzang has scheduled an official visit to Kentucky for this coming Monday (April 29).
The five-star guard is also considering Villanova, Virginia, USC, Kansas, among others.
If Juzang reclassifies and signs with Kentucky, this would be the second-straight year John Calipari landed a reclassified player.
Before the 2018-19 college basketball season, former five-star recruit Ashton Hagans reclassified from the 2019 class to the 2018 class in order to play for Calipari this past season.
Juzang hinted at the decision on Twitter. “Big announcement tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. PST,” he said.
