A.J. Reeves, a four-star shooting guard and the top basketball recruit in Massachusetts for the class of 2018, is down to four final schools.
Two ACC and two Big East schools have made the cut for Reeves, who is ranked No. 73 overall in the class of 2018 by 247Sports: Louisville, Providence, Villanova, and Virginia.
Reeves trimmed down to four from a long offer list, which also includes Auburn, Boston College, NC State, Rutgers, Syracuse, UConn, Virginia Tech, and a number of others. Reeves is a long sharpshooter at the shooting guard position, hitting 46-percent in the adidas Championship last July according to 247Sports.
Interestingly, two-thirds of the predictions on 247Sports' crystal ball had Reeves choosing UConn, which seems to be eliminated. The other third went to Providence, which is a fairly local program that has been after him for a while. This would be a nice get for Ed Cooley, but beating out schools like Louisville, Villanova, and Virginia would be tough.
