Reebok revealed Angel Reese as Shaquille O'Neal's first signing as president of basketball operations.

On Tuesday morning, Reebok announced the company's first major NIL deal with the LSU basketball phenom. Following the announcement, Reese responded to a social media post from Nice Kicks with a photo of her and O'Neal at an LSU football game.

"Barbie🤝🏽Shaq," Reese wrote. "This was actually the first day I ever met him & it’s been history since then! Can’t thank [LSU assistant] Coach Bob Starkey enough for making this happen as well!!"

O'Neal declared that his first move as Reebok president "had to be the GOAT." The former LSU legend called Reese the best Tigers athlete ever in April.

"There is no one making a bigger impact on the game right now than Angel Reese," O'Neal declared.

In a Q&A with Reebok, Reese called Shaq's ascension to president "inspirational" and said she'd love to take the same trajectory off the court. She expanded on her connection to the former NBA superstar.

"I love him, and he’s been super supportive to me and everything I’ve done," Reese said. "Even if I didn’t work with Reebok he’d still support me, and our relationship has always been amazing. Everything is just so much fun, and what player wouldn’t want feedback from one of the best bigs of all time!?"

Reese rose to mainstream stardom when leading LSU to a national title earlier this year. The 6-foot-3 forward notched a double-double in each NCAA tournament game.

The senior told Reebok she's excited to graduate and lead LSU on another championship pursuit before deciding whether to declare for the 2024 WNBA Draft or use her fifth year of college eligibility. Reese now has one more significant NIL deal in her portfolio before beginning the 2023-24 season in three weeks.
