On Friday night the Auburn Tigers looked to continue their run in the NCAA tournament. Facing off against North Carolina, the Tigers had their hands full with one of the best offensive teams in the nation.

After ending the first half with a last-second layup, the Tigers took a 41-39 lead into the half. Bruce Pearl's squad came out firing in the second half and opened a 19-point lead at one point.

Up 15 points with just over eight minutes to play, Tigers forward Chuma Okeke suffered a brutal injury.

As Okeke drove to the basket, his left leg appeared to buckle underneath him. The star forward immediately grasped for his left knee in pain and was surrounded by trainers.

After laying on the ground for a few minutes, trainers helped Okeke walk into the locker room.

After the injury, North Carolina's players and head coach Roy Williams went up to Okeke to offer their support as he walked off the floor.

During the broadcast on CBS, the crew announced Okeke has been ruled out for the rest of the game.

Auburn currently holds an 83-68 lead with just under five minutes left to play in the game. Can the Tigers hold on?

Stay tuned.
