While Kentucky supporters celebrate their victory over Wofford in the Round of 32, one gambler will be left shaking his head in disappointment. Throughout the history of sports betting there have been insane scenarios, but this recent development is still quite shocking.

A bettor put down $110,000 on Wofford to cover the five-point spread against Kentucky. This doesn't mean the underdogs have to outright win, all it means is that the score needs to be within that range.

The Terriers came into this matchup as a trendy upset pick. Fletcher Magee and Nathan Hoover became overnight sensations in the NCAA after defeating Seton Hall in the opening round.

However, Wofford simply couldn't connect on its three-point attempts in the closing minutes of the game.

With the Terries down only four points with less than 30 seconds remaining, Magee missed his jumper from beyond the arc. To make matters worse, the Wildcats were given the opportunity to put the game on ice at the free-throw line.

Tyler Herro is one of the best in the country from the charity stripe, and the star freshman didn't disappoint. Once both shots went through the back of the net, the Wildcats took a six-point lead.

Due to the final score ending in a Kentucky 62-56 victory over Wofford, the bettor lost out on a huge sum of money.

From possibly winning thousands of dollars to losing the entire bet, it'll be a tough night for this bettor.

Talk about experiencing heartbreak during March Madness.
