With the first round over with, here's what the Big Ten Tournament looks like heading in to Thursday's contests.
The first round of the Big Ten tournament is over, and we saw both of the underdogs come out victorious. Penn State defeated Nebraska in overtime, and Rutgers got its first Big Ten Tournament win with a huge upset over Ohio State. As a result, Penn State and Rutgers will move on to tomorrow's contests in the second round.
Here's what the bracket looks like as of right now:
So here are the matchups we have ahead of us:
- No. 8 Michigan vs. No. 9 Illinois, 12:00 p.m. ET, Big Ten Network
- No. 5 Michigan State vs. No. 13 Penn State, 2:30 p.m. ET, Big Ten Network
- No. 7 Iowa vs. No. 10 Indiana, 6:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2
- No. 6 Northwestern vs. No. 14 Rutgers, 9:00 p.m. ET, ESPN2
The favorites according to VegasInsider are Michigan (-5), Iowa (-1), and spreads for the remaining two games have yet to be released.
Purdue, Wisconsin, Maryland and Minnesota all have byes until the quarterfinals, where they'll take on the respective winners from the second round.
