Bol Bol, the five-star son of former NBA star Manute Bol, is eyeing official visits to three big-time programs this fall.
Bol, who is currently listed at 7-foot-3, might be the most interesting young player in the country.
Considering his father was 7-foot-7, there's a chance he may still be growing, but he has a very modern game. Bol has the shot-blocking ability that you'd expect with his crazy length, swatting away 4.5 shots per game in the Nike EYBL, but he also shoots just under 50-percent from three and can handle the ball.
247Sports ranks Bol No. 4 in the class of 2018, and many of the national powers are after him.
He recently told reporters three of the schools he plans to take official visits to later in the year. From the Lexington Herald-Leader:
Asked if he there were any schools he knew would get one of his official visits, Bol listed UK, Arizona and Oregon as three that he would probably see sometime after Peach Jam, noting that he might visit Lexington for Big Blue Madness.
Kentucky seems to be the favorite here, even though John Calipari didn't name Bol to his United State U19 team, that recently placed third in the FIBA tournament in Egypt. There are other schools heavily involved here as well, though. USC, one of the local power programs, is considered a player for Bol, and Kansas also has votes in the 247Sports crystal ball.
Auburn, Creighton, St. John's, TCU, and UCLA are among his other offers.
