Carte'Are Gordon, a four-star power forward out of St. Louis, will play for his hometown Billikens instead of local powers Kansas and Missouri.
Moments ago, Gordon made the big announcement on Twitter.
His full note on Twitter:
I would like to first off thank God, my grandparents and all of my coaches I've had in my career so far. But after long consideration and prayers and discussion with family, I would like to announce that I will be attending St. Louis University!! #GoBillikens
The decision comes just 12 hours after Gordon announced his final three of Saint Louis, Kansas, and Missouri.
Back in August, he posted a final 11, which also included Illinois, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, SMU, St. John's, Texas, and USC.
Gordon is the No. 2 player in the state of Missouri, and the No. 18 power forward in the class of 2018.
Carte'Are Gordon is the first 2018 player to commit to the Billikens. After a pair of down seasons under Jim Crews in 2014-15 and 2015-16, Saint Louis has been taken over by former Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford. From 2011-12 to 2013-14, under Rick Majerus and Crews, the Billikens won an average of 27 games per year, and went to the NCAA Tournament Round of 32 three straight years, winning the Atlantic 10 twice in that span.
