One of the top recruits in the country is nearing his decision for next season, as Cassius Stanley went on Twitter to release his commitment date. He'll have plenty of prestigious programs to choose from in the coming days.
The California native is being heavily scouted by programs near him like UCLA, Oregon and USC. However, blue bloods like Duke and Kansas also share interest in Stanley.
He is currently the No. 3 shooting guard in his class, per 247Sports. Programs will be lining up for the chance to add his scoring ability for 2019.
Current projections for 247Sports have the Blue Devils winning the sweepstakes for Stanley. It'd be a huge addition for Mike Krzyzewski, since he will lose Cam Reddish, R.J. Barrett and Zion Williamson to the NBA Draft.
Duke will find out if Stanley is coming to Durham next Monday. According to the four-star recruit's Twitter account, that will be the date that he announces his college decision.
Although Duke might have the slight advantage right now, UCLA isn't too far behind for the crystal ball prediction.
If he decides to join the Blue Devils it would place him alongside two great recruits in Vernon Carey and Wendell Moore.
