The 2019 Big Ten Tournament gets underway tomorrow. It will wrap up on Sunday, just before the NCAA Tournament bracket is unveiled.
Michigan State is the No. 1 seed in this year’s Big Ten tourney, but it is the Spartans’ in-state rival that has owned the event the last two years. Michigan cut down the nets in 2017 as the No. 8 seed, and did so again last year as the No. 5.
The Wolverines are seeded third in this year’s field, but they are the favorite to win it again, according to multiple analysts at CBS Sports. The site unveiled its Big Ten Tournament predictions late last night.
Here’s the breakdown for the Big Ten:
- Three people took Michigan to win the Big Ten Tournament.
- One chose Michigan State.
- One chose Purdue.

The Big Ten tourney begins tomorrow night in Chicago with Rutgers-Nebraska and Illinois-Northwestern in opening round action. However, none of the top four seeds will play until Friday in the quarterfinals.
The semifinals will be played Saturday afternoon, with the title game set for 2:30 p.m. ET Sunday on CBS.
