Chris Holtmann Hires New Strength Coach For Ohio State Basketball

The Buckeyes have a new strength coach.

It hasn't been long since Chris Holtmann took over the Ohio State basketball program.

Now his coaching staff is rounding into form.

Holtmann hired Quadrian Banks as the team's strength coach. Banks most recently worked with the Indianapolis Colts as a member of the team's strength program.

Ohio State released the following statement about the hire.

“I am very excited about the addition of Quadrian,” Holtmann said. “He is an elite strength coach and has extensive experience working with athletes at the highest level. From his start working in college basketball at the University of Texas with its Final Four team in 2003, all the way through his most recent experience in the National Football League, he has proven his ability to help develop athletes to their fullest potential. He is high-energy, knowledgeable, committed and thrilled about being a part of The Ohio State University. Please help us welcome Coach Q, his wife Ann Marie and son Ryan, to the Buckeye family.”

Banks has also worked with the Philadelphia Eagles and several other men's basketball programs.
